CNIC | The Need To Know

The Citizens' National Intelligence Cell is a small group of veteran analysts with a new mission: Contributing to a better-informed constituency by providing our readers with the same quality of analysis provided to military and government decision-makers. We collect and analyze information from a variety of sources, then present our assessments in concise articles.

Meet our Senior Analyst

A veteran military, government, and private sector analyst and the Host of β€œThe Need to Know.”

Johnathan Days is the Senior Analyst at CNIC and the host of The Need To Know, a show that probes popular culture and political policies shaping the American way of life.

During Operation Iraqi Freedom/Enduring Freedom, Sergeant Days served honorably as a Military Intelligence NCO with three OIF/OEF tours (Iraq), receiving over a dozen commendations in addition to being named Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year. His final tour was with Combined Joint Task Force-Troy, contributing to their mission of reducing the threat of the improvised explosive device to coalition and local forces.

After military service, Johnathan Days worked as an analyst for the Department of Defense at JTF-North in El Paso, then a senior analyst for the Department of Homeland Security at the El Paso Intelligence Center, with a mission which included counter-terrorism and counter-narcotics along the southwest border. As the founder and senior analyst of CNIC, Johnathan supervises a small team of analysts with the mission of providing his civilian viewers with the same quality of analysis he provided to military and government decision-makers.
